CMs of Assam, Meghalaya to hold joint visit to disputed areas

The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma and Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad K Sangma  held a conversation regarding the border dispute. It is said that they reached on a consensus regarding confidence-building exercise to be carried out before visiting jointly. Once the confidence-building measures are formalized and implemented, both the CMs will visit those areas and discuss with the people of the villages. The joint visit is likely to be held in the first or second week of October.
