Competition from pvt sector banks to rise, BBB cautions PSB top brass

The Banks Board Bureau has told the top brass of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) that increasing competition from the private sector, especially in customer segments which were exclusive preserve of public sector banks, is only bound to increase. Therefore, during the course of the next nine months in their leadership programme being held in IIM Ahmedabad, and thereafter, they will have to actively engage in pursuit of improving operational efficiencies of their respective banks.
