BJP's Maharashtra top brass swiftly halted the controversial local BJP-Congress power grab in Ambernath Municipal Council. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis publicly slammed the unauthorized alliance as "unacceptable," issuing direct orders to dismantle it and warning of strict disciplinary action against rogue local leaders. Fadnavis emphasized party discipline, stating no tie-ups with Congress or AIMIM would be tolerated, regardless of local ambitions to sideline Shinde Shiv Sena. Instructions were promptly relayed to Ambernath BJP units to reverse the "Ambernath Vikas Aghadi" formation, which had briefly installed a BJP president. The stall underscores deepening fissures in Mahayuti coalition ahead of broader civic polls, with Shinde faction gaining leverage despite initial ground setbacks. Congress had already suspended its 12 defectors, mirroring BJP's corrective moves.
