Contradictory statements of Two former Chiefs of Army, which is correct ?

While one Former chief of Army staff General VK Singh has responded to the Congress’s claims of surgical strikes being carried out during the UPA tenure as a ‘blatant lie’, another Former chief of Army staff Gen. Bikram Singh has given credence to Congress claims on surgical strikes during the earlier United Progressive Alliance rule saying that the Indian Army has conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) in the past as well.
