Convention held on ‘Diplomacy, Diversity, Development’

A day-long convention – based on the theme of ‘Diplomacy, Diversity, Development’ – was held in the national capital recently. The meeting shed  light on sectors wherein India has made rapid strides and is keen to share its expertise, experience and know-how with its partner developing countries.

Dammu Ravi, Secretary (ER), Ministry of External Affairs was present at the conference as guest of honour. Ambassadors, high commissioners and senior diplomats from Cote d’Ivoire, Malawi, Bhutan, Lao PDR, Senegal and Zimbabwe also participated in the convention.

The event – organised by Vibgyor Marvels Private Limited (VMPL) – was held at the India Habitat Centre on July 27. The convention was titled Vibgyor Marvels Monsoon Convention (VMCC), an official release said.   

About 150 members of VMPL and other organisations, including the CMD of NBCC, senior officers of NTPC and Vice Chancellor of Lovely Professional University (LPU) also participated at the event.

The interaction between senior diplomats and VMPL members resulted in greater understanding among members of the type of economic, commercial and social development that the countries hope to achieve with the participation of Indian companies and entities, including in infrastructure and capacity building projects.

VMPL is a collaborative consortium platform, which brings together exclusive members across public, private, and social sectors with the aim of maximising value creation by collaboration and complementarity. VMCC brought together members of Vibgyor Marvels (VM) with high level diplomats.
