In one of the biggest seizures of Antiques in recent times, the Kolkata Customs has seized 25 Antiques valued of Rs 35.3 crores at Kaliyaganj border. According to information, these Antiques were being taken to Bangladesh in a truck carrying Paddy. The Antiques comprises of seven stone idols of Goddess Parvati, Mansa Devi, Lord Vishnu and Lord Surya. Seven artifacts made of bronze and Ashtadhatu used for casting Hindu and Jain Temples and 11 Terracotta idols. The antiques belong to the period between 9th century AD and 16th century AD.
