The Government of India has revised rates of Dearness Allowance to its employees with effect from July 1, 2021. The Government of India has revised rates of Dearness Allowance to its employees with effect from July 1, 2021. The Dearness Allowance is payable to employees from an existing rate of 17% to 28% of the basic pay with effect from July 1, 2021. The increase subsumes the additional installments arising on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020 and January 1, 2021. The rate of Dearness Allowance for the period from January 1, till June 30, 2021 will remain at 17%.
