Deepak Khandekar declines offer of central deputation as Secretary, Tribal Affairs?

The fresh appointment of Deepak Khandekar as Chairman of Professional Examination Board (Vyapam) in his cadre (Madhya Pradesh) shows every indication that he will not accept the post of Secretary, Tribal Affairs on central deputation. Khandekar, who belongs to a 1985 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, was deputed to the Government of India and was to succeed incumbent Mrs Leena Nair on July 1 this year. However, some sources are of the view that he will take over the charge of Secretary in Government of India in July.
