Delhi Government initiates process to withdraw cases against LG, Former CS and Principal Secretary

The Delhi BJP Government has initiated the process to withdraw around 12 cases against top bureaucrats including the LG and former Chief Secretary. A battery of legal experts will initiate this process very soon though it may take a few month’s time. These cases were filed during the AAP regime and reportedly now have no legal sanctity. Cases were filed against LG and former Principal Secretary, which would be withdrawn. The process requires the approval of CM and LG and thereafter the Government advocates will file the withdrawal petitions in the Supreme Court. Former CM Aitishi had filed cases against the LG, former Chief Secretary and, also the Principal Secretary of Finance department alleging that these officers had withheld the release of the fund to Delhi Jal Board that required immediate money for various works.
