Believe it or not, one IPS officer in CPF has a distinction of holding additional charges six times during two years nine months (from Oct 2018 to July 2021)and colleagues call him the DG of additional charges. S S Deshwal was appointed DG, ITBP on October 31 in 2018. But was given the additional charge of DG, SSB till January 2019. In July, 2019, he was given the additional charge of NSG,In January 2020 he was given the additional charge of DG, CRPF for one month. In March 2019, Deshwal was given the additional charge of BSF for four months, In September 2020 he was given the additional charge of NSG again. And on July 27 2021 he was again given the additional charge of BSF till the further orders. Deshwal is a 1984 batch Haryana cadre IPS officer and is scheduled to retire in August this year.
