DG, DD: MIB wants extension, after relieving Prasar Bharti kept order in abeyance

A high level drama was played on Friday evening by the Ministry of I & B and Prasar Bharti Board. The issue was Supriya Sahu, DG, DD, whose deputation tenure expires on June 30, 2019. First Prasar Bharti  issues Ms Sahu's relieving and repatriation order and sanctioned 60 days EL w e f July 1,2019. After completion of leave the officer shall report to her parent cadre. PB order also gave  Vigilance clearance certificate to Ms Sahu. In the meantime Amit Khare, Secretary, MIB wrote a letter to P K Tripathi, EO, DoPT and urged him that that Competent Authority may consider granting three months extension to Ms Sahu , DG,DD w e f June 29, 2019. Afer Secretary's letter, PB issued another order and kept the earlier order  of  Ms Sahu  in abeyance. Ms Sahu is a 1991 batch TN cadre IAS officer.
