After days of nationwide protests by students demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET examination controversy, Dharmendra Pradhan has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He announced his decision by sharing his resignation letter on X (formerly Twitter).

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also reached out to the youth through Instagram video messages on the ongoing NEET issue. Instead of a conventional address, he chose the social media platform to communicate directly with students, signalling a new approach to engaging with the country's young population.
