Book discussion and release of book “Lost Glory: India’s Capitalism Story,” published in September 2018 by the Oxford University Press authored by Professor Sumit Majumdar of the University of Texas at Dallas will be held at India International Centre on November 12, 2018 at 6.30 pm in New Delhi. The Speakers on the occasion would be: Chair of the panel, R C Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki Ltd.; Dr Chandan Mitra, senior journalist, political adviser and two-time former MP; P Baijal, former Chairman of the TRAI; and Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, senior journalist and public policy activist.The book ‘Lost Glory’ looks at India’s capitalism experience since independence. Among its many features, it includes nuanced depictions of the political economy affecting India over a century.
