Distribution of cloth bags in presence of Secretary at PDIL, Noida

A program was organized at PDIL’s Corporate Office Noida on the theme “Plastic Waste Management” as a part of “Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign”  on the Occasion of  150th birth Anniversary of  the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, 2019. Hundreds of cotton cloth bags made by & marketed by Pavithara Swasahaya Sangha,   Women’s  Self Help Groups of Bangalore, were distributed to the Employees  of PDIL and Department of Fertilizers (DOF). Secretary (Fertilizers) Chhabilendra Roul (IAS) was the guest of honour for the program.   Ms Gurveen Sidhu (IAS), Joint  Secretary, Lalsanglur, Economic Advisor and other senior  officers of Department of Fertilizers( DoF), Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers graced the occasion. Director ( Finance),  other Senior Officials and large number of PDIL Employees  attended the program. CMD PDIL, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma (IAS ) welcomed Secretary (Fertilizers) and other dignitaries of DOF. Speaking on the Occasion , CMD PDIL stated that distribution of  cloth bags will empower the women and  stressed on  need of plastic waste management and exhorted PDIL to develop technology for disposal of plastic and options for single use plastic.
