DP Dash is DG DRI

Debi Prasad Dash an officer of 1985 batch of IRS (Customs) has been posted as the Director General in the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), the premier agency in the field of anti-smuggling and black money in India. Dash has earlier worked in the UN Security Council, Commonwealth Secretariat and CBI. He is a recipient of President’s Medal for specially distinguished record of service and Merit Award from the World Customs Organisation (WCO). He was appointed by the UN Secretary-General as Head of the International Panel of Experts of the UN Security Council monitoring arms embargo, travel ban and financial sanctions in Africa and was a Member of the INTERPOL Working Group of money laundering and financing of terrorism.
