DPA Kandla Records 21.03% YoY Growth in Cargo Handling

Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla, continues its impressive growth trajectory, recording a 21.03% year-on-year growth in cargo handling.

According to the latest figures, DPA Kandla handled 62.86 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo up to 09 August 2026, compared with 51.94 MMT during the corresponding period last year.

The strong performance reflects the port’s operational efficiency, robust infrastructure and continued focus on enhancing cargo-handling capabilities. The growth further strengthens Kandla’s position as one of India’s leading ports and an important contributor to the country’s maritime trade and port-led development.

Deendayal Port Authority Chairman Sushil Kumar Singh highlighted the achievement through a social media post, describing Kandla as “unstoppable” and emphasising the spirit of resilience and teamwork behind the port’s continued progress.

Kandla continues to march ahead with stronger performance, greater momentum and a growing contribution to India’s maritime sector.
