Dr Jaishankar’s case now a precedent for bureaucrats’ entry as MoS

When Dr S Jaishankar had been 1st IFS picked as Foreign Minister without being a BJP member, it would be no surprise that some former bureaucrats and Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officials, having outstanding credentials, may even be chosen as Minister of State in Finance Ministry as they have been picked up for CVC/CEC roles. Former IAS and IPS officials may find a place as Minister of State in the Home, Defence, Commerce and Industry Ministry.
