Prof Arun K Rath launched the global program on Corporate Governance in Public Enterprises at the International Management Institute New Delhi. Funded by the Ministry of External Affairs under the India Techno Economic Cooperation ( ITEC ) program, Dr Rath is organizing this course for the sixth consecutive year . This six week program ( 14 Jan-22 Fed 2019) is being attended by senior executives from government and corporates from twelve countries of the world. The participating countries include Russia, Columbia, Cambodia ,Sudan, South Sudan, Lesotho, Nigeria ,Mongolia, Afghanistan, Burundi, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The executives from these countries are staying in the IMI Delhi campus for six weeks and attending the training program designed to build capacity for better governance of State Owned Enterprises. The course will include best practices of global as well as Indian frame work of management , good governance and social responsibility of business enterprises with focus on Public Enterprises. The participants will visit few Indian companies and industrial establishments to acquire first hand understanding of the Indian best practices. Former Secretary MHRD Govt of India and currently Professor Emeritus of International Management Institute and Adjunct Professor of Indian Institute of Management Trichy ,Dr Rath belongs to 1973 batch of IAS Jharkhand cadre.
