Dr S S Sandhu appointed as Election Commissioner
Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu has been appointed as Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India. Dr Sandhu, who belongs to a 1988 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre, served as Secretary in GoI and Chief Secretary in the cadre as well as Chairman, NHAI.
