ECI asks States not to post officers in same parliamentary constituency

Ahead of Parliamentary elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has asked all the States not to post officers in adjacent districts within the same Parliamentary constituency. The Commission made it clear that it would apply a zero tolerance policy. The Commission has ordered transfer of various officials, even senior level police officials in the States, after taking serious note of such cases.
