The Election Commission of India (ECI) has roped in 20 IAS officers from Bihar to work as observers in the upcoming Assembly elections. The Assembly polls to Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana Assembly are due to be held by end of this year. The IAS officers called include Principal Secretary rank officers. The ECI has sent a communication to the Bihar’s chief electoral officer (CEO) H.R. Srinivasa in this regard.
