ECL ranks first position in underground coal production among CIL subsidiaries

Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Prem Sagar Mishra has claimed the first position amongst all the subsidiaries in terms of the highest percentage positive growth in underground coal production. On the first day of the new financial year 2019-20, the ECL has created history on many fronts in the last financial year 2018-19. The company has crossed the magical figure of 50 million tonnes by producing 50.16 MT of coal, dispatching 50.195 MT and removing 126.51 MCum since inception for the first time in its history. ECL has also achieved the highest percentage of positive growth in coal production, offtake & OB removal amongst all the subsidiaries of CIL. The CMD informed that ECL is confident of achieving al the targets in 2019-20 with a larger concern for the community, environment, ecology, bio-diversity and human resource development.
