Election related over 300 FIRs lodged in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, Campaign is yet to gain momentum but ECI is receiving lots of complaints about alleged violation of code of conduct. According to information, the EC has lodged a total of 309 FIRs for violation of model code of conduct till date, Cash of over Rs  11 crore has been seized and also dismantled over 56 lakh campaign materials from the public and private spaces. The seven phase polling in UP starts from February 10.
