Electricity Allowance for Defence Personnel abolished

Electricity Allowance to Defence personnel has been abolished . Ministry of Finance had issued a Resolution on June 6, 2017 in this regard, MoD issued letter to all concerned on June 19 this year and clarified that the abolition of Electricity Allowance will be effective from July 1, 2017. However, amount paid after July 1, 2017 as Electricity Allowance may be recovered.
