Ex-IAS officers have better chance to be Non Exec Chairman of pvt banks

RBI seems very firm on not allowing any retiring top executive of private banks at the age of 70 to be considered for post of Non Executive Chairman. This means the only eligible candidates could be former IAS officers who have held significant posts in the Finance Ministry before retirement.
