CBIC has decided to roll- out Faceless Assessment of Import goods at an all India level from October 31, 2020. In the proposed scheme, 11 National Assessment Centres(NACs) have been constituted. M. Ajit Kumar, Chairman, CBIC has asked the Members of NACs to be in constant touch and quickly iron out any issues that emerge. This is being seen a major reform in Custom clearance.
