Finally, Shastri Bhawan to be vacated by Sept 30

The CPWD has asked the ministries and departments to vacate and handover the Shastri Bhawan by the end of September 2026. The Shastri Bhawan will be handed over to the Central Vista Project and a new building will come up as Kartavya Bhavan. According to information, very few ministries or departments are still working from the Shashti Bhawan.
