 The Union Finance Ministry has sought the help of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in resolving the glitches in the Income Tax portal and dealing with the issues faced by taxpayers in filing Income Tax returns. CAs from the ICAI, Western region, said it may take two to three weeks to fix the snags in the portal. C V Chitale, Chairman, Direct Taxes Committee, ICAI, said they were working with software developers and the Central Board of Direct Taxes in this regard.
