First it was AGMUT, now its Rajasthan that has become a preferred choice for Marriage

Rajasthan has rapidly replaced the AGMUT cadre as the top choice for inter-cadre transfers on marital grounds, particularly among women officers, marking a significant shift in preferences for young civil servants. The latest example is IAS Shailja Pandey (2021 batch, Bihar cadre), who was transferred to Rajasthan after marrying IFS officer Gaurav Garg (2015 batch, Rajasthan cadre) in October 2025.

Over the past nine months, Rajasthan has welcomed at least eight IAS and IPS officers from other states, underscoring the state's rising appeal among officers seeking family-friendly environments and career growth.
