Five IAS officers get new responsibilities in W Bengal

Five IAS officers have been reshuffled and given new responsibilities in W Bengal. Accordingly Sanjay Bansal has been appointed as Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department with additional charge of Secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department and Managing Director, WBHIDCO, while Mrs Roshni Sen takes over as ACS, Environment Department and ACS, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour Department and Chairman and Managing Director, WBIDC. Similarly, Khalil Ahmed will be appointed as Principal Secretary, Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs Department; Mrs Neelam Meena as Principal Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department and Abhinav Chandra takes over as Director, Institute of Environmental Studies & Wetland Management.
