The Home Commissioner and Secretary of the Department in Mizoram H Lalenmawia told the Whispers In The Corridors that the Government has started raising public donations from ministers, legislators, employees of Central and state governments, state PSUs, commercial banks and corporators as the state’s financial resources for providing relief and rehabilitation measures are not sufficient. The fund is being collected in the account of Disaster Management Department, he informed.
