G C Murmu had given up ?

Appointment of G C Murmu as Lt Gen of J & K has come as a big surprise for him. Infact, after coming on deputation to the GoI 1985 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer Murmu was never given his due. He was denied the post of ED and Revenue Secretary and instead moved as Secretary Expenditure. In the corridors of power it was widely believed that after his retirement on November 30, he would be made Vigilance Commissioner but finally he was rewarded with the post of LG J&K.
