Maharashtra cadre IAS officers seem to be least interested for central deputation. They know more power and glamour of the IAS in the commercial capital Mumbai than in Delhi. Presently only seven Maharashtra cadre IAS officers are on deputation to Government of India. According to sources, Maharashtra has deputation quota of 25 IAS officers.
