GoI reduces openings at ADG level ?

The Government of India is believed to have reduced the scope for the IPS officers to work at Additional Director General level posts by empanelling only six IPS officers of 1986 batch this year. As many as 28 IPS officers of 1985 batch were empanelled at ADG level in January 2016. The Government is said to have empanelled the least officers, due to lack of vacancies at centre.
