The Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises is yet to select the candidate for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited (HEC) lying vacant for more than two years. The Ministry was entrusted with selecting a candidate after the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) failed to find a suitable candidate for the second time at a selection meeting held on March 13, 2019. The PESB had also failed to find a suitable candidate at its first meeting held on August 1, 2018. Presently, BHEL CMD Dr Nalin Singhal is holding an additional charge of HEC.
