If one goes by the records of past five years, the Army Chief General Bikram Singh had been Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee for 212 days during 2013-14. Thereafter Air Chief Arup Raha assumed charge as Chairman of COSC for 153 days in 2014-16, followed by Admiral Sunil Lanba who remained
If one goes by the records of past five years, the Army Chief General Bikram Singh had been Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee for 212 days during 2013-14. Thereafter Air Chief Arup Raha assumed charge as Chairman of COSC for 153 days in 2014-16, followed by Admiral Sunil Lanba who remained Chairman of COSC for 2016-19 for 151 days and now again Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa was the Chairman COSC since May 31, 2019 till his retirement. Seems like it is the turn of the Army Chief General Bipin Rawat now to become Chief of Defence Staff as the COSC is likely to be transformed into CDS.
