Govt doubles Siachen Allowance under 7th CPC
The government has increased Siachen Allowance for personnel in extreme conditions. Soldiers will now receive Rs 30,000 per month, up from Rs 14,000, while officers' allowance has risen to Rs 42,500 from Rs 21,000. This aims to support defence personnel facing harsh conditions.
