Govt may split post of CMD of J&K Bank in near future

Whispers are that the post of CMD in Jammu and Kashmir Bank, months after a new CMD is appointed may be split to meet the SEBI regulations. R. K. Chhibber who was till recently Interim Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank had been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Jammu & Kashmir Bank w.e.f October 10, 2019 for a period of six months or till the appointment of a Chairman and Managing Director is made. The post of CMD in all listed banks and companies in the stock exchanges are to be split into Chairman and MD by April 2020 as per SEBI rules.
