The government has reiterated that it has no proposal to constitute the 8th Central Pay Commission for the revision of the pay and pension of Central Government employees. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that two representations have been received for the constitution of the 8th Central Pay Commission in June 2024, but no such proposal is under consideration by the Government, at present.
