Grand conclusion of Travel Mart 2025, MP Tourism establishes a strong global identity
The three-day Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2025, organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, concluded successfully at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre (Minto Hall) in Bhopal. Held from October 11 to 13, the event served as a vibrant confluence of culture, commerce, and collaboration, attracting over 700 delegates, including more than 100 international tour operators from 27 countries. More than just a business convention, the Mart became a global celebration of Madhya Pradesh's tourism potential. Key sessions highlighted Film Tourism, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and Wedding Tourism, as well as Eco-tourism, positioning the state as a multidimensional travel destination.
 
During the closing ceremony, Shambhala Resort (Bhopal) won the First Prize for Best Stall, followed by Yar Nagar Jungle Resort (Budhni) and Enchanting Madhya Pradesh (Gwalior). Homestay operators and sponsors, including Gramstay, were also recognized for their contributions.
 
Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi praised the sector as one of India’s fastest-growing industries. He affirmed that under new Tourism and Film Policies, the state is set to achieve greater heights. Sheo Shekhar Shukla, ACS, Tourism & MD, MP Tourism Board (MPTB), emphasized that the Mart successfully brought together global stakeholders and fostered meaningful partnerships. Additional MD Bidisha Mukherjee credited pre-event initiatives, such as roadshows, influencer meets, and familiarization trips, for the event's success.
 
International delegates praised the event, with Eric Holliday from the UK calling it “authentic and inspiring,” while Peter Rees-Jones (UK) and Aurelie Daillac (France) commended the state's warmth, spirituality, and tourism potential.
 
During the Travel Mart, investment proposals worth Rs 3,665 crore were received and over 4,000 B2B meetings conducted. A MoU with Balaji Telefilms for an Rs 50 crore production investment was executed and a tourism commercial featuring Anoushka Shankar was launched. Regional helicopter services, tent cities, and the Narmada Cruise Project were also announced. MoUs were signed with leading travel platforms, including EaseMyTrip and Curly Tales. As announced, the Travel Mart will now be held annually from October 11–13.
