Group of bureaucrats along with Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to implement 24/48 Hour delivery by India Post!

A dedicated focus group comprising senior bureaucrats from the Department of Posts, technocrats from the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) and NIC, along with logistics experts from India Post, is working closely with Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to operationalise the express delivery rollout. The team is tasked with upgrading sorting hubs, integrating GPS-based tracking, and establishing real-time route optimisation systems. They are also coordinating with major railway and aviation partners to ensure seamless multimodal connectivity for time-sensitive consignments. Digitalization of parcel management, automation of dispatch centers, and workforce training form the core of their strategy to meet the 24-hour and 48-hour delivery targets. The group is additionally framing new service-level benchmarks and customer grievance systems to align India Post’s standards with leading private logistics players.
