Gujarat DGP retiring on June 30, search for replacement in full swing

The current DGP of Gujarat Vikas Sahay is set to retire on June 30, and the search for his replacement is in full swing. A list of five senior IPS officers has already been sent to the central government. As per seniority, Dr KLN Rao is the front-runner, followed by GS Malik, the Police Commissioner of Ahmedabad. Other names in circulation include Dr Shamsher Singh, Dr Nirja Gotru, Manoj Shashidhar, and Raju Bhargav.
