Finally, the IAS officer of Chandigarh, who has written a letter to the Administrator demanding immediate release from the post, has been relieved. According to an order, the officer of 2008 batch, Yashpal Garg, the Health Secretary of the UT administration has been relieved of the charge. On June 8, he was shifted to Arunachal Pradesh. Following his transfer, he had written a letter to the union Home Ministry requesting that he had already served in the hard places for over 5 years and hence, his order should be amended. But his request was rejected. Following the rejection, he had written to the UT Administrator. Garg was also holding the posts of the Secretary, Vigilance and CEO, Chandigarrh Housing Board.
