The Board of Hindustan Copper Limited in its meeting held in Kolkata today has approved the Financial Results of the second quarter ending September 2021 of the current fiscal year 2021-22. During the quarter, the performance of the Company has improved substantially. The Profit Before Tax during the quarter was Rs 92.10 crore as against a loss of Rs 3.27 crore in the corresponding period of the last year. The Profit After Tax was Rs 67.53 crore during the current quarter compared to Rs 9.20 crore of the corresponding quarter of the previous year. During the quarter, the sales volume of 7317 MT and the Revenue from operations of Rs 464.46 crore were 25% and 58% higher respectively compared to that of corresponding period of the last year. Hindustan Copper Limited, in service of the nation since November 09, 1967, also celebrated its 54th Foundation Day today. Arun Kumar Shukla, CMD, HCL, in his Foundation Day message, mentioned that the growth prospect of HCL is tremendous. With Copper in the limelight, it is time to seize the opportunity and strive hard to create value for our stakeholders, he asserted. To encourage Copper usage and improve livelihoods of the metal craftsmen, HCL has decided to promote micro enterprises at its Mining Units. Accordingly, in commemoration of HCL’s Foundation day, Arun Kumar Shukla, CMD, HCL, along with Director Operations, Sanjay Panjiyar, Director Finance, Ghanshyam Sharma, and other senior officials interacted with the craftsmen of Kuilisuta Village, Mosabani Block, East Singhbhum District of Jharkhand near Indian Copper Complex. The Company plans to provide Copper, modern tools and support for training the artisans.
