The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has taken a serious note of closure of AIR stations at the time of dissemination of information and awareness about COVID-19 is required. The Ministry sought explanation from CEO, Prasar Bharati asking about the closure of many AIR stations at small places. In Maharashtra, only Mumbai and Nagpur stations are working. Other stations are just broadcasting with regional news. The Collectors of Parbhani and other districts have taken up this issue with the Ministry as local stations are necessary to disseminate local information.
