IIT Cross-Campus Mobility/Exchange Programme

Ongoing rollout and discussion for implementation from academic year 2026. Students (undergraduates primarily) can spend a full semester or take selected courses at other IIT campuses across 23 institutes, with seamless credit transfer. Led by efforts involving IIT Madras and directors/deans for curriculum mapping. Aims at flexibility, interdisciplinary exposure, specialisation, and reducing rigidity of single-campus JEE allotments. Initial rollout may limit full-semester exchanges (e.g., ~5% of students). Trending positively in academic circles as a major reform for collaboration.
