Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad signed an MoU with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad—an ISRO unit—to foster joint research in remote sensing, geospatial data analytics, and satellite applications. The agreement promotes academic exchanges, capacity building, and societal applications like disaster management and environmental monitoring. NRSC Director Dr. Prakash Chauhan delivered a keynote on satellite data advancements during the signing event, attended by IIT Dharwad Director Prof. Venkappayya R. Desai and faculty. This builds on ISRO’s push for tech transfer to academic institutes.
