IRCON completes and hands over 1st phase of Jaynagar-Bardibas Rail Line Project

The work of Jaynagar (India) to Bardibas (Nepal) rail line project was entrusted to Ircon International Ltd., a PSU under Ministry of Railways in accordance with the MoU signed between Gol & Government of Nepal (GoN) to undertake Indo-Nepal Cross Border Railway Projects. The 1st Phase of work in Jaynagar-Kurta (Nepal) section from Ch.-0.00 Km to 34.90 Km has been completed. All the As Built Drawings along with Station Working Rule (SWR) of the above section have already been handed over to Department of Railways (DoRW)/Nepal Railway Company Ltd. (NRCL) of GoN at Janakpur. Accordingly, at Kathmandu, IRCON handed over & taken over the newly commissioned section from Jaynagar to Kurtha including all Buildings, Embankment, Bridges, Track system, Lifting Barriers, S&T and Electrical Assets of Rail Line Project.
