IRS-IT officers sore over delay in promotion

IRS-IT officers are sore over extra ordinary delay in their promotion to SAG. IRS-IT officers of 1993 on wards are waiting to be empanelled as JS. It is said that empanelment cases of 1993 and 1994 batches of IRS-IT are pending for the last two years. Whereas IAS officers of 2001 batch have already empanelled as JS in GoI. Why  this discrimination, they asked?
