IRS officer Smarak Swain’s book on Tax Avoidance Strategies hits stands

"Smarak Swain, IRS officer of 2008 batch, presently heading the Special Corporate Range of Income Tax Department in Bangalore, has written a book titled Loophole Games: A Treatise on Tax Avoidance Strategies. It is published by Indian arm of the Dutch publisher WoltersKluwer. It discusses 100 top methods of tax avoidance and how the courts in various countries have dealt with them. Replete with true stories on shell companies, hawala, and tax havens, it is his seventh book. Many younger officers still credit his first book (based on Psychology syllabus of Civil Service examinations) for their success in the exam."
